Context-Aware PatchMatch for Image Editing

This paper introduces a new algorithm called Context-Aware PatchMatch, which is designed for various image editing tasks, including object removal. It improves upon the original PatchMatch algorithm by considering the surrounding context of the image, leading to more coherent and realistic results when filling in the space left behind by removed objects. The algorithm efficiently finds similar patches in the image to seamlessly replace the removed object's area, making it a core technique in tools like Magic Eraser.
